PHOENIX — A beaver captured near Tempe Town Lake has been released at a ranch near Wickenburg, a Game and Fish official said.
The beaver was released near the XO Ranch, spokeswoman Amy Burnett said.
The critter was trapped in a construction zone in mid-January. It was captured and rehabilitated for a month prior to its release.
Burnett said beavers are a common sight along the Salt River, which feeds into Tempe Town Lake.
