Tucson, Ariz. just may be the most romantic city in the country.
According to credit card data recently gathered by research company Cardlytics, spending on categories typically associated with Valentine’s Day jumps by 68 percent in Tucson during the first two weeks of February. Such categories include flowers, jewelry, movies, restaurants and spas, among others.
The study also reported that Portland, Ore. saw the slightest bump of major cities included in the research pool, with just a 15 percent increase.
More than $50 million is spent on both flowers and jewelry for Valentine’s across the U.S.
