There are plenty of ways for displaced fans to show support for their hometown team that plays hundreds or thousands of miles away.
Flying a flag from your roof or posting a sign outside your window are among the more common ways to do so. But those options just weren’t enough for Chandler resident Ashtin Fitzwater.
A native of Silverdale, Washington (70 miles west of Seattle), Fitzwater stepped up his game by painting his house in Seahawks colors and replicating the Seahawks’ logo in the middle of his lawn in time for Sunday’s Super Bowl XLIX matchup against the New England Patriots in Glendale.
“We had to step it up, and painting the house was the only logical thing to do,” Fitzwater told KOMOnews.com, adding he’s received no complaints from his neighbors.
“They love it. They’re on board with it, man.”
Fitzwater’s girlfriend is also apparently on board, but for life.
