PHOENIX — Looking to show off your photography skills while also capturing Arizona’s beauty?
Here’s you chance.
The Arizona Department of Transportation is inviting photographers from around the state to participate in its annual photography contest.
ADOT will select three winners whose images will be featured in Arizona Highways, a magazine produced by the department. The photos will be judged in three categories; landscape, macro and wildlife. Every photo must show Arizona.
“The photo contest is a wonderful way for photographers to celebrate Arizona,” Arizona Highways photo editor Jeff Kida said. “From the macro submissions to the sweeping landscape images we receive, it’s clear that these shooters have a passion for exploring our beautiful state.”
The submissions will be judged on composition, framing, lighting and overall “wow” factor.
First place will receive an in-state photo workshop worth $2,500, while second and third place will receive prize packages worth $500 and $250, respectively.
The deadline for submissions is Dec. 15.
