After surveying nearly half a million parents in 2014, the results are in for the most popular baby names of this year.

BabyCenter, an educational pregnancy website, recently completed its annual survey to reveal the return of some recent favorites as well as the rise of a few new names.

Sophia was the most popular girl’s name for the fifth year in a row, while Jackson remained the favorite boy’s name from last year. Olivia and Emma also continued to be in the top three for the third year in a row for girls. Conversely, the boys saw some newer names, like Caden and Logan, edge out previous favorites like Jayden and Jack.

The two names with the biggest rise in fame in BabyCenter’s top 100 list were Skyler and Nolan, for the girls and boys, respectively.

Many names associated with popular culture shot up in popularity as well.

For instance, characters names from Netflix’s “Orange is the New Black” saw a huge increase, like Galina, which rose 67 percent, and Boo, which rose 57 percent.

“Frozen” names like Elsa and Duke are both up 29 percent, while the retirement of New York Yankee Derek Jeter sent the name, Jeter, skyrocketing up 82 percent.

2014 also saw a nine percent increase in parents’ preference for unique names, and BabyCenter reported a few very creative ones, like Yolo, Ranger, Heavenleigh and Darko.
