PHOENIX — You may be a little chilly at an Arizona Coyotes game, but an innovative program from the team will give you a way to warm the hearts of others.
The franchise teamed with GiveStep.com, an online charity donation site that allows users to choose a dollar amount they’ll give per team milestone — think a certain player scoring, a win, etc. When that happens, the money is automatically withdrawn from the user’s account and given to Arizona Coyotes charities.
Since being implemented, the program has raised nearly $1,000.
“We are excited to partner with GiveStep.com to provide our fans with a fun way to donate and give back to the community while following the Coyotes team and our players,” Coyotes co-owner, President and CEO Anthony LeBlanc said in a press release.
A Coyotes’ win would likely generate close to $100 from the current list of 11 donors.
Coyotes Charities donate to a range of causes, including health care, education and sports outreach.
