PHOENIX — The jury in the Jodi Arias penalty resentencing trial goes back to work Wednesday, after a lengthy break.
Court has been in recess since Oct. 30, the day Judge Sherry Stephens banished the media and public from the courtroom during a witness’ testimony.
While the jury has been idle, lawyers for Arias filed a motion to dismiss all charges against their client, claiming prosecutorial misconduct. The team accused authorities of deleting files from the computer of murder victim Travis Alexander. The goal is to overturn Arias’ conviction or spare her the death penalty.
