PHOENIX — A crash involving five cars closed southbound Interstate 17 early Tuesday for nearly an hour.
By 7 a.m. traffic was moving but at a slow pace.
Ramps from I-17 south to the Loop 101 were reopened about 9 a.m.
One of the cars belonged to an MCSO off-duty officer. He was treated with minor injuries.
Some people were taken to local hospitals to be checked out but no one was listed with serious injuries, according to DPS.
One of the cars was up on the bank and left 50 yards of skid marks before it took down a metal light pole.
