PHOENIX — Arizona State University Preparatory Academy football players have a lot to celebrate.
The downtown Phoenix school’s football field received a full makeover Monday, including new sod, paint and a sign.
“It’s so nice compared to what we played on before. We were getting tackled on dirt and rocks,” said quarterback Alex Sikora. “A big thank you to the Arizona Cardinals and the Super Bowl Host Committee.”
ASU Prep, a K-12 school, is one of several entities picked by the committee to benefit from bonus dollars for hosting Super Bowl XLIX in Glendale.
