Phoenix Business Journal lists Arizona’s largest employers for 2014

The Phoenix Business Journal published a list of Arizona’s largest employers on Friday, and it’s very government-heavy near the top.
For the fifth year in a row, the Arizona state government came in at No. 1, the Business Journal said.
The list was ranked by number of full-time equivalent Arizona employees. The state employs 48,910 to top the list.
Three different government bodies come in the top 10 this year, as does a bank, a grocery chain, a university and a pair of health networks, among others.
