PHOENIX — Arizona Rep. Matt Salmon will head a group meant to assist Congress on how to enhance security and respond other needs at the United States border.
Salmon visited the detention facility in Nogales and was moved by the current situation of the migrant children. He hopes to be able to reunite each child with their family.
In a press release Salmon said,
“It is my hope that by working with these other dedicated Members of Congress, we will be able to help identify solutions that will return these children to their families and countries of origin, secure our border, and engage the region in fostering better economic and security conditions in Central America.”
The group will also include representatives from Texas, Florida, Virginia and New Mexico.
