PHOENIX — Gold medal-winning swimmer Amy Van Dyken-Rouen continues her recovery in a Scottsdale hospital from an accident that severed her spinal cord.

Van Dyken crashed an all-terrain vehicle Friday near Show Low and was airlifted to Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Medical Center.
