PHOENIX — Vice President Joe Biden arrived in Phoenix on Friday for a scheduled Democratic Party fundraiser in Scottsdale.
Biden will spend part of his day at the event at the Westin Kierland Resort.
He had breakfast at Butterfield’s Pancake House in Scottsdale about 10 a.m. He greeted several people, including Health and Human Services Regional Director Herb Schultz and other diners.
His arrival at Sky Harbor Airport was preceded by a brief bit of drama: a Phoenix Police helicopter in the area was forced to make an emergency landing when a warning light indicating possible engine failure blinked. The chopper landed safely.
