Sen. Flake apologizes for son's posts on Twitter
Arizona Senator Jeff Flake issued a statement of apology after seeing tweets from his high school-aged son that included derogatory terms.
The account has since been made private and the tweets are believed to have been deleted but screen shots continue to make their rounds on the internet.
Flake's son mentioned races, religion and other slurs.
Flake's statement to KTAR is as follows:
"I'm very disappointed in my teenage son's words, and I sincerely apologize for the insensitivity. This language is unacceptable, anywhere. Needless to say, I've already spoken with him about this, he has apologized, and I apologize as well."
