PHOENIX — If you struggle with breathing problems and have a smart phone, the Maricopa County Air Quality Department has an app for that.
The agency rolled out the app last September and the popularity has exceeded expectations.
“Our goal was to have 2,500 people download the app by the end of the fiscal year, which is June,” said spokesman Bob Huhn. “We surpassed that. We’re around 4,600 right now.”
The mobile app provides the most up-to-date air quality forecasts, air quality restrictions and the ability to report an air quality problem.
The app is free to download and is available in the Apple app store and Google Play, as well as at CleanAirMakeMore.com.
