GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Authorities say two women are injured after a motorist struck a pedestrian at a Glendale intersection.

Glendale police say it appears the 42-year-old woman driving the car ran a red light and struck a vehicle in the intersection of 75th Avenue and Camelback Road.

KPHO-TV says the car struck a 30-year-old woman standing at the corner and landing at the edge of a canal.

Police says the driver was able to get out of the vehicle after the crash. She and the pedestrian were taken to a hospital, but authorities say both suffered non-life threatening injuries.
