Collision causes Loop 101 southbound lanes to close

PHOENIX — A serious collision Sunday afternoon has closed Loop 101 (Price Freeway) southbound at the Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway).

According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, ADOT is routing drivers off the freeway at Loop 202.

All drivers are being advised to expect delays and avoid the area, if possible.

There is no timetable to reopen the southbound lanes of Loop 101, but drivers can reenter the freeway at University Drive.
