TUCSON, Ariz. -- A Tucson man who won a new trial because of juror misconduct has been convicted of first-degree murder for the second time.

Pima County prosecutors say 21-year-old Mario Acedo was found guilty again Friday.

He will be sentenced next month and faces life in prison with or without the possibility of parole.

Acedo was charged in the shooting death of Christopher Montano during a drug-related robbery on Aug. 27, 2010.

A judge granted Acedo a second trial after learning a few jurors walking to a downtown restaurant were flashed some sort of hand signals by a group driving by in an attempt to intimidate them.

The Arizona Daily Star says attorneys learned a juror wrote a letter instructing people to contact the judge if something happened to her.
