Gov. Jan Brewer to roll out sales tax reform bill

PHOENIX -- Gov. Jan Brewer is expected to announce details of her proposed comprehensive simplification of Arizona's sales tax collection system Monday.
Brewer said the current system has so many twists and turns it is difficult for businesses to pay what they owe.
She said business owners serving multiple cities must file multiple tax returns and undergo multiple audits.
She has said she wants a system that has just one form and one filing per business.
Some cities and towns have objected to one part of the proposal that would change collection of new construction sales tax. They said that will hurt growing cities by sending the taxes elsewhere.
