PHOENIX -- A man who was hit by a car Wednesday morning is expected to survive.

The man is in a local hospital in critical condition after being hit by the car in downtown Phoenix.

Phoenix police said another driver found the man in the road at Seventh Avenue and Roosevelt Street but there were no witnesses to the accident.

"The vehicle will probably have some pretty serious front-end damage," said police spokesman James Holmes.

Police believe the vehicle may be a 2007 to 2013 Chevy Tahoe.

Anyone with information on the hit-and-run is asked to call (480) WITNESS.

    No Witnesses?
Maybe not one that will come forward....People, did not one of you stop to help the victim? Are you all too entralled with yourselves to consider compassion? Thank God another driver finally stopped to help this man. Praying for his healing.
