A father affected by the Sandy Hook shooting attended a public hearing January 28th to do one thing: defend the right to own guns.

He goes on to passionately talk about how not having a gun present in the school the day of the shooting denied the children of proper protection.

    but if we are going to stop innocent deaths', seems we will have to outlaw our modes of transportation. We know if we outlaw guns, only the outlaws will have them.

    real Americans all, have spoken in favor of measures intended to keep guns out of the hands of child slaughterers. Disagreement among grief stricken parents is to be expected. But like public opinion at large, support for measures like universal background checks predominates.

    some family members. It's a refreshing view of someone who doesn't make remarks based soley on emotions, unlike the dead brained liberals who never let a tragedy go to waste.

    least qualified person to judge someone as being a real American or not. This man is no less American than you or I, and for you to suggest that he is not, is a real slap in the face to a man who has probably sufferred more due to this tragedy than you have in your entire life.

    Evidence that there are still people who do not succumb to the advice and influence of media vultures. Some people still have wisdom, intellect and honor and can sort through the propoganda and reason for themselves.
