Flagstaff records one of its colder Januarys in history
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- Last month was among the coldest Januarys on record in Flagstaff.
The Arizona Daily Sun reported that the monthly average temperature of nearly 24 degrees was the 16th coldest.
The chilly temperatures last month came from a five-day cold snap.
The cold snap between Jan. 11 and 15 saw a record low of minus 18 degrees in Fort Valley on Jan. 15 and a record low in Flagstaff for Jan. 13 of minus 7.
