GOODYEAR -- Thanks to a donation from the Sahuaro Kennel Club, Goodyear's K-9 unit has another ballistic vest.
It will be used during high-risk deployments and provides the same level of protection as the vests that their handlers wear.
K-9's protect their handlers, conduct searches, and detect explosives and drugs. Currently, the city has four dog teams.
This is the second donated vest for Goodyear's K-9 unit. Each vest is valued at $2,500.
