PHOENIX -- A first-alarm fire broke out at a 7-11 convenience store on 64th Street and Bell Road Thursday evening.

According to Capt. Larry Nunez of the Phoenix Fire Department, the cause of the blaze was not conclusive, however it was categorized as a "suspicious fire".

While firefighters were in a defensive mode upon arrival, Nunez said the store was completely destroyed.

There were no injuries reported at the scene, but crews told people to stay away from the area for several hours.
