PHOENIX -- Phoenix Police have taken five people into custody Tuesday morning during a raid of a strip club suspected of housing a prostitution ring.

Police served a search warrant at the Champagne Room near Interstate 10 and 40th Street and took three people into custody. A couple at a home in Surprise were also arrested in connection with the investigation.

Sgt. Steve Martos said the raid was the result of two years' worth of investigating.

    Really?
I'm not so sure that this place really qualifies as a 'strip club'. Regardless, why did they spend so much time and waste so many resources on the actions of consenting adults? Who was really hurt by this?
