Temperatures are starting to creep back up, which normally signifies the beginning of the end of the ski season.
However, Arizona Snowbowl in Flagstaff is celebrating its new snowmaking technology, which was implemented this year.
“We’ve been extremely pleased with the quality of snow we are able to produce,” said Snowbowl General Manager J.R. Murray in a release. “Our experienced groomers are then able to move that snow around the ski runs, maintaining highly desirable, consistent conditions.”
The resort deploys 25 snowmaking guns that produce enough snow overnight to cover a one-mile stretch of Route 66.
