PHOENIX -- A new addition to downtown Phoenix has dogs wagging their tails.
Construction will begin next month on a permanent, enclosed dog area at Hance Park, located on Culver Street between Third and Fifth avenues.
"She just likes running all around and exercising," said George, who was walking his 1-year-old Labradoodle in the area.
George likes the idea of a dog park and so does another visitor, Michelle, who brings her daughter to walk and play a couple times a week.
"I think it's good to be able to have a place where people can bring their dogs right downtown," she said.
The dog park should be completed in the spring.
