PHOENIX — Gun advocates in Arizona have joined nationwide rallies in support of gun rights.

The group Guns Across America Rally for Arizona held Saturday a largely peaceful rally Saturday at the Arizona State Capitol. Hundreds of protesters, some carrying rifles and holstered handguns, waved signs that said "We respect gun rights" and "Defend your constitution before it is too weak to defend."

One man dressed as a Revolutionary War Minuteman carried an antique 1800s-style long rifle, along with sign saying "Tyrants Beware - 1776."

The rally is one of many slated to take place on state capitols across the country thanks to a loosely organized campaign via social media. The rallies were sponsors by the Washington D.C.-based group Political Media.

Unlike the frontiers folk who circled their
wagons to fend off the common enemy, gun nuts will be circling their Harleys, dual axles and Winnebagos on the Capitol lawn. Their sermon will only be heeded by those in the choir.

    Yeah Micho,
no different than when the Hispanics were downtown marching and circling up their low riders, beat up pick up trucks, eating burritos and proclaiming how proud they were to be Mexican. Stereotype much Micho? The street runs both ways.

One notes, yrreta, that you don't object to the
stereotyping done by your brothers in arms. I assume that you only object to the stereotyping that I do because you care about the things that I say. Which is good. Another important point. The same people who applaud Arpaio's violations of civil rights are the exact same ones who whine when they sniff any hint of impending gun regulation. Faithfulness to the Constitution is a sometimes thing for gun nuts.

    No Micho,
just surprised that someone who presents themselves as being so much better than the rest of us would resort to stereotyping. Why don't you put down the burrito and roll your Pontiac wide track arse away from the keyboard and head down there to support your cause. Put your money where your mouth is. I'll be there, maybe we can go for a drink afterwards? Whose constitution do you support, America's or Mexico's?

Gun nuts should be permitted to bring their
fully loaded assault style weapons with high capacity magazines held at the low ready into busy legislative chambers, committee rooms and legislator's offices to demonstrate to lawmakers just how safe they can be made to feel by the laws that they have passed. This gun freedom should be extended to everyone, Sal Reza included.

Michoacan, if this is not the society you want go to where you think you might have much more freedom. I'm sure some other nation will put you to work with your hard working habits that were passed down through generations. Once enslaved then they will tell you to sit back watching them tax you until you can hardly feed your family. Next tell you how to live because they are looking out for you and your families welfare by protecting you all. They stick their nose into other peoples nation and now their nose is where it don't belong.
