PHOENIX -- A man accused in at least one sexual assault case in Phoenix has pleaded guilty.

Maricopa County prosecutors said DeJuan Donaldson, 19, pleaded guilty Wednesday to two counts of sexual conduct with a minor. He also pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted sexual assault with a minor, sexual assault and attempted sexual assault.

Donaldson is scheduled to be sentenced on Feb. 22.

He was arrested in May 2011, one month after a reported attack on a South Mountain High School student.

The then 17-year-old girl told police she was walking to school when she was accosted by a man, taken at knifepoint into an abandoned house and sexually assaulted.

Police took Donaldson's DNA and believe he was linked to two other sexual assaults in November 2010 and January 2011.

    Wasn't 18
technically the age of an "adult?" This MAN is 19 years old, and no longer a teen as the story suggests. His days of screwing off have ended, time to wear the big boy bracelets. Headline needs to be corrected.

    Nine"TEEN" is a teenager
and that is the problem. . .at eighTEEN you are considered an adult even though you are still a teenager. You can buy a firearm, fight for your country. . .pretty much do all adult things BUT drink legally!!! Law should be changed to being an adult at 21 years of age when "kids" are a "little" more mature and can start being responsible for their actions. AND. . .allowing teens to join the service at 17 to help them mature!!! AHHH, the good ole' days. . .

He also COULD have been 17 at that time...
depending when his birthday is. He could have turned 18 in 2011, and 19 in 2012. In any case, as stated, he was still a teenager. Do the crime, do the time.
