Valle Luna in Phoenix has been named one of most popular restaurants in America.

According to Phoenix Business Journal, located at 3336 W. Bell Road, Valle Luna was ranked No. 14 by a restaurant gift certificate sight.

The list reflects that Americans steered away from gourmet offerings in favor of more familiar options like comfort food, steak and pizza. It was compiled from website search data, the number of certificates purchased, tenure on the program and Restaurant.com's Verified Diner Ratings and Reviews.

Overall the most popular restaurant was Biggie's in Carlstadt, N.J.

    Valle Luna! I mean seriously did they just say that? I can think of at least 20 places that can top Valle Luna. There food is good but top 14,IN AMERICA !!!!! Not in my opinion. Sorry :(

    data on the number of certificates purchased. These certificates are often pretty good deals, but not necessarily a reflection of the quality of the food/establishment. Been there a couple of times, I've had better. Like to see the data on returning customers that used the certificates to try the place out.

    My favorite mexican food restaurant. The food is better than any other mexican food restaurant I've tried. I don't know about the ranking but it is good.

    Only one I have been to is in Chandler,its on the water and has a great pation with fantastic food. It may not be the best Mexican food in town but it is definitely more than good enough to go to everytime I want Mexican food; which seems to be once a week at minimum and not travel elsewhere to get it. I've used the coupons there also and I've never had a problem.

    What a joke! Maybe ten years ago, Valle Luna would have been rated in my "top ten" but in the past ten years, the quality of the food has failed drastically! The Tacos come out burned, the tortillas are stale and the service is awful. Where did these numbers come from?

    All you haters that have an issue with the food or service should try being nice when you go and not be so snotty. I have gone and the food has been excellent. The rating is subjective and you know that. If you agree, great. If not, shut up and move on.

    Please here in the Valley of the Sun. . .Valle Luna is a FAR CRY away from good mexican food. But then here in the Valley, there is NO Good Mexican Food unless you go into Ghetto and find the hole in the wall place. There is no good asian eatery either. Coming from Southern California, the new melting pot of nations. . .now that's where you can get some GOOD food from all the nations all around the neighborhoods. But back to VALLE LUNA, ya'll LUNEY if you think Luna has GOOD FOOD. . .not!!!!
