PHOENIX — Maricopa County officials say a 60-year-old inmate in Sheriff Joe Arpaio's tent city has died from cardiac arrest.

Authorities say the inmate died Saturday after he was found by detention officers.

Officials say officers immediately performed CPR. Phoenix firefighters arrived and later pronounced the inmate dead.

Authorities believe that the inmate died of natural causes but an investigation has been launched into his death.

The inmate's name has not been released.

    sheriff's fault
family will sue. racial is the reason he died. he didnt get proper medical treatment, living in tents added to his death. he would be alive if he was in a normal jail and sheriff joe was not in office. lets forget that he did something bad to put himself in this situation. He can not be held account for his own actions but sheriff joe can for actions he didnt do. lol
