Tucson man is arrested in sexual exploitation case
TUCSON, Ariz. -- Authorities say a Tucson man has been arrested in a sexual exploitation case.
Tucson police said Friday that 28-year-old Jesus Ballesteros is in Pima County Jail.
He's being held on suspicion of aggravated luring of a minor, attempted child prostitution, attempted sexual exploitation of a minor and attempted sexual conduct with a minor.
They say a Tucson woman called 911 on Dec. 29 to say she discovered her 11-year-old daughter was chatting online with an adult man.
Police say the interaction included graphic pictures and sexual conversation between the man and girl.
They also say the man tried to arrange a meeting to have sex with the girl, videotape the encounter and pay her for it.
Ballesteros was arrested Thursday and police say he has prior convictions for sexual offenses.
