listen Listen: AZ Senator-Elect Jeff Flake
Arizona Senator-Elect Jeff Flake joined the show to discuss his views of the Fiscal cliff deal, government compromise and how excited he is about being sworn in tomorrow.

Senator-elect Jeff Flake is not happy with how elected officials are handling America's checkbook.

As Washington continues to haggle over the fiscal cliff, Flake said he doesn't see President Barack Obama nor Congress working to cut spending.

"We've drawn and backed away from so many lines in the sand that we've run out of beach," he told News/Talk 92.3 KTAR's Karie & Chuck on Wednesday. "If we can't cut spending now, with this looming over our heads, I don't know when we will."

Flake said he voted no on the fiscal cliff bargain because is doesn't address overspending by the government.

"It spends more money than we were before," he said. "That blows me away that we can face a fiscal cliff and come out with a bill that spends more money."

Flake should lead by example and present
Arizonans with the list of spending that he would want cut from Arizona's current Federal allotments.

    Flake had been recognized
as a leader in identifying waste. The light minded or confused let the point of the story go past their heads and deflect.

We are not just talking about waste here.
We are talking about deep cuts into basic federal apportionments. Flake and the Tea Party types need to show their cojones and identify the deep cuts that they want to see made into Arizona's share of the Federal pie.

That is the cost to taxpayers each time the president flies anywhere on Air Force One. This does not include the cost for the presidential staff. So, stay in Washington along with all of Congress and do the job you were elected (only half) to do.

Flake and others like have have voiced their opposition many times, only to fall on deaf ears from the Left and some on the Right.

A few such as Flake see the pea-under-the-cup game that Obama has successfully used again. By distracting others with an 11th hour fiscal-cliff threat that gave the House no time to review, the spending issue is kicked down the road for a time when he can obliterate that as well. Obama is a master at deception. It is not that Obama lacks conviction. In fact, his conviction and divide-and-conquer skill has out-foxed many apparently clueless representatives. The takeover of our country is like taking candy from a baby while vacatioining in Hawaii.

    11th hour?
They were talking about this cliff since prior to the election. They knew what was coming. As for Mr. Flake (first congrats on your daughters engagement) 2nd, i'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt because I know little about him. That being said, propose some cuts not just obtuse words, I want specifics. "we need to cut spending" Great, where and how is what i want to know. Let's see those ideas.

Okay, not 11th hour. Actually it was past due when the Senate produced the bill to the House. So you make my point. The Senate, driven by Obamas minion, Harry Reid, strategically sat on the bill until it was past due, then delivered it to the House.
