A San Tan Valley utility company has recalled a warning it sent out concerning high nitrate levels in drinking water.
Johnson Utilities warned residents on Dec. 29 that two wells tested for high nitrate levels, possibly making tap water unsafe for infants to drink. The affected wells were shut off and water with safe nitrate levels was diverted to the impacted area.
Tests on Dec. 31 confirmed the water was safe to drink.
The warning affected the San Tan Heights and Skyline subdivisions, west of Gary Rd. and south of Skyline Dr.
