Small plane crash-lands near Chandler airport
CHANDLER, Ariz. -- Authorities say a small plane has crash-landed near Chandler Municipal Airport, but all four people aboard escaped injury.
A spokesman for the Chandler Fire Department says the plane went down in a dirt field across from the airport about 11:45 a.m. Monday.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor says the Cessna 210 lost power on approach to the airport and the pilot had to make a forced landing about a quarter-mile south of Chandler Municipal.
Witnesses say the plane was nose down in the field and the front landing gear appeared to be collapsed.
City fire officials say all of the passengers got out of the plane by themselves and were walking around when rescue crews arrived
Their names aren't immediately available.
Gregor says the FAA will investigate the incident.
