Police: Phoenix man is fatally shot in Peoria

PEORIA, Ariz. -- Authorities say a man is dead after a shooting at a home in Peoria, west of Phoenix.
Peoria police say the name of the 42-year-old victim is being withheld until relatives are notified.
The Phoenix man reportedly was visiting a home Friday afternoon in Peoria when an unidentified man entered the home, prompting some kind of altercation.
The victim was shot multiple times and died at the hospital from his injuries.
Police say the shooter fled in a car that has since been recovered. Authorities still are searching for a suspect in the homicide case.
