SIERA VISTA, Ariz. -- The Cochise County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a decomposing body was found in a wash south of Sierra Vista.

Sheriff's spokeswoman Carol Capas said two women called deputies Wednesday afternoon to report finding human remains. Deputies walked into the wash and found a group of rocks making an arrow and pointing toward the body.

Capas said the body was significantly decomposed but appears to be male. The person was dressed in brown work boots, dark jeans and a shirt.

The remains were taken to the Medical Examiner's office in Pima County for an autopsy to determine identity and cause of death.
