NYC Mayor’s Office calls for gun law discussions

In the wake of the Newtown, Conn. shooting that claimed the lives of nearly 30 people, cries for better gun control in America cropped up almost immediately.
A few hours after the shooting, the New York City Mayor’s Office joined those calling for a discussion of gun laws.
We heard after Columbine that it was too soon to talk about gun laws. We heard it after VTech, Tucson & Aurora. Now we are hearing it again.

While it is surely not the last tweet to be sent on the topic, it falls in line with a statement made by President Barack Obama that America needs to take meaningful action when it comes to guns.
