A Border Patrol agent shot and killed a possible illegal immigrant on Sunday, the agency said.

The shooting occurred about 12:25 p.m., when the agent encountered an unknown number of possible illegals about 12 miles northwest of Sasabe, Ariz. The agent and one individual were involved in a physical altercation, which ended when the agent fired his service weapon.

Six other individuals were apprehended shortly after.

A message has to be sent about ignorance, and their not shooting you. The illegal issue is merely a ploy to hide one's true racist issues. The fact is U.S. Citizen, your ancestry came here from somewhere else, or you wouldn't be here. ..

You are right that most of our ancestry came here from somewhere else, but was it legal or illegal? My grandparents came here in the early 1900's through Ellis Island, legally. They then became American citizens. If a minority robs a bank, an illegal act, is it racism to convict them? I don't care where you came from, or what color you are, you break the law, you get punished. The laws apply to everyone.

...but I have at least looked into what they stand for, and it has nothing to do with the brush the MSM has tried to paint them with. I find it very ironic when someone tries to tie in racism with the Tea Party and then turns right around and acuses anyone else of "ignorance". Standing for fiscal responsibility stands in the way of a leftist/fascist media that has been reduced to a cheerleading section of useful idiots. Try removing your cranium from your posterior and see the light of day as we are quickly losing what liberty we have left.

the fact that someone's son or father died as you mention is tragic, but that person made the choice to fight. This was one officer against several individuals, one decides to fight, what should the officer have done; run away, talk to him, wait to see if the others are going to go at him, roll over and play dead, give him his weapon?

    Illegals
Denial runs rampant in closet racists. Real Racists stand up for what they believe in, they don't hide behind excuses. Ellis island was heaven compared to the hoops people have to jump through today. There are more American criminals in this country, then illegal immigrants. Get a grip on those first, instead of using illegal immigrans as an excuse to hide your hidden beliefs.

I hate to deflate your hate bulletin, but the majority of Americans love Hispanics and their culture. They also embrace diverse cultures and races and mixtures thereof, despite political propaganda to the contrary. In fact the flavor of Southwest United States is a memorial to Hispanics and their culture, and we are proud of it. Now, regarding those who break our laws and encroach upon our land and threaten our officers, they are called illegals. If officers must self-protect with lethal force, the US, Mexico and all other countries do the same. But you know that

You keep believing that. And to use "fiscal responsibility" as an excuse, again speaks for itself. You also may want to look in the mirror, excuses are like posteriors, everyone has one, Your response wreaks of a right wing, tea party, confederate flag waving, Rush Limbaugh follower.

    So, Working Man
fiscal responsibility is just an excuse to be racist? OK, umm, so if you come to this country illegally, it's ok if you don't pay taxes like everyone else? If that's the case, then you would be willing to pay more taxes to help cover the shortage? I don't like paying all my taxes, could you help me make up the slack? I don't want to be fiscally responsible if I'm going to be branded a racist.

you say "There are more American criminals in this country, then illegal immigrants." but you are wrong... as usual. there are 2.3 million people in u.s. prisons and there is an estimated 11 or 12 million illegals in the u.s. that is quite a difference. you should look stuff up before you post your "facts". and by the way, the proper grammar is "than", not "then". there you go, you've learned 2 things today!

your delusional if you believe illegals don't pay taxes. Sheriff Joe makes his sweeps based on i.d. fraud. They are usually hired by employers that side step the e-verify program. Nonetheless, the illegal is paying taxes under the fraudulent name, and never collects in most cases. They probably pay more taxes then you. Your disgust should be in the government that never discloses this. Where's the money go?
