Michael Hall (Avondale Police Department)

PHOENIX -- Police in Las Vegas have arrested a suspect in a shooting that left an Avondale woman dead and a small child a potential witness to the death.

Michael Hall was taken into custody early Tuesday morning. He is awaiting extradition to Arizona.

Avondale police want to question Hall, 41, about the death of Donella Clauschee, 28, who was shot in the head in a garage Monday morning, while she was strapping her 4-year-old daughter into a car seat.

Hall is the girl's father. Avondale police received tips that Hall was in Las Vegas. They notified Las Vegas authorities.

It could take up to a day before he is returned to Arizona.
