Tucson man pleads guilty to 2 bank robberies
TUCSON, Ariz. -- A man is facing up to 71/2 years in prison after pleading guilty to robbing two Tucson banks in a seven-day span.
Pima County prosecutors say 45-year-old David Edward Easton Deaton entered his plea Monday. He's scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 17.
The Arizona Daily Star says Deaton admitted to robbing a Vantage West Credit Union on Aug. 10 and a Wells Fargo Bank on Aug. 17.
Tucson police say Deaton gave a demand note to the teller and threatened harm during the robberies.
