What's in a name? Mesa agency hopes a lot

The Mesa Convention and Visitor's Bureau has a new name: Visit Mesa.
"It's a shorter name, and it denotes what we do," said marketing director Milton Fort. "It eliminates the word 'bureau' from the name, which denotes bureaucracy and government, which we're not."
Fort said the name change won't alter the organization's job.
"We're a destination marketing organization," he said. "We promote the activities, whether it be the outdoors, the hotels, the attractions, anything a visitor would want to do while they're here."
