One of the anti-Obama signs posted by Cope Reynolds is shown. (Facebook photo)

PINETOP, Ariz. -- A Pinetop, Ariz. gun shop owner is catching a lot of heat over an anti-Obama sign in his shop window.

The sign in a Pinetop window reads "If you voted for Barack Obama, your business is not welcome at Southwest Shooting Authority. You have proven you're not responsible enough to own a firearm."

Cope Reynolds, who owns the shop in question, Southwest Shooting Authority, said he's being flooded with calls over the sign and about one-third are extremely hateful.

"Seems like anybody against it isn't intelligent or articulate enough to make a response without foul language," he said.

Reynolds said this is a political statement and it's not just about fears of gun control and it's not about marketing.

"There's frivolous spending, lack of accountability with Operation Fast and Furious, the Benghazi fiasco and numerous other things," he said, citing the reasons he is against Obama.

And it hasn't happened yet, but if an Obama supporter shows up and wants to spend money in his shop, they'll be sent elsewhere.

"We'll turn 'em down," said Reynolds.

    Another fringe mistake
As a businessman, I applaud this owners move to alienate customers and damage his own bottomline because of his immaturity and inability to maintain his professional composure due to politics. If he goes out of business I can take his customers. It may be his right, but it's not very bright and the reason he's not in a metropolitan area. It's also a great way to redflag yourself to the authorities. Hope his taxes are in order.

Can't say I really blame this guy
Seeing as how Obama nominates Supreme Court Justices (Sotomayor) who rule in favor of stripping Americans of their 2nd amendment rights (McDonald v. Chicago). A 76 yr old man who's neighborhood of 40 yrs had been overrun by gangs and drug dealers had his house had been broken into 5 times! He wanted to purchase a handgun for protection but Chicago said no. Sotomayor agreed with Chicago. I expect any future Obama nominees to share the same anti 2nd amendment position.

    Alienate potential customers?
I think not. Maybe 3 or 4 who don't understand the issue. The others are anti-gun liberal retards who wouldn't be his customers anyway, so it will probably be good for business.

    Not Welcome?
How is this business owner going to determine which potential patron supported President Obama? I'm sure he won't racially profile potential patrons. I agree that this business owner has the right to refuse service to anyone which includes US Service Men and Women who serve our nation and fight for his freedom and support the elected President of the United States.

    He's onto something
He is trying to stop liberals from buying weapons. I think he is onto something. Most liberals are emotionally driven. This coupled with a weapon is a problem waiting to happen. By not selling guns to liberals, he is saving lives.
