Arizona political candidates reminded to remove signs
PHOENIX -- Political candidates and campaigns statewide are being reminded to pick up their signs and either store them away for another election cycle or properly dispose of them.
Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett says local municipalities have various ordinances outlining the rules and regulations regarding campaign signs and many communities have instituted special recycling programs.
He says campaigns should contact their local government to find locations for sign disposal.
Bennett says abandoned signs ``are an eyesore littering Arizona's beautiful natural landscape.''
