A wind gust of 111 mph at the Meteor Crater east of Flagstaff was confirmed by the National Weather Service on Friday.

It's fairly flat land, other than the crater right there," said Doug Green with NWS. "It's exposed and it is subject to pretty strong southwesterly winds."

The Arizona Department of Public Safety reported that a semi-truck was blown over due to high winds.
