Windy conditions cause difficult driving around Arizona

Conditions deteriorated quickly on Friday as a cold front moved into Arizona and caused wind gusts up to 75 mph, the Arizona Department of Transportation said in a release.
A wind advisory was put in place until 8 p.m. across the state and wind speeds were expected to remain strong throughout the day.
Drivers along Interstate 40 between Flagstaff and Winslow reported gusts as high as 70 mph. Drivers in high-profile vehicle, such as semi-trucks, are urged to use caution and to consider delaying travel until conditions improve.
“We did have a semi-truck get blown over because of these high winds along I-40,” said Carrick Cook with the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
