Deputies: Pit bull attacks horse in Yuma

YUMA, Ariz. -- Authorities said a horse has died after it was attacked by a neighbor's pit bull.

KSWT-TV reported that the Yuma County Sheriff's Office said the bizarre attack happened Monday.

According to deputies the pit bull injured the horse's leg in the attack and a veterinarian had to later euthanize the horse.

Yuma County Animal Control cited the pit bull owner for dogs at large but allowed the owner to keep the dogs.
