SELIGMAN, Ariz. -- A man wanted for allegedly assaulting and robbing a family in northern Arizona has been arrested.

Yavapai County Sheriff's officials say 39-year-old Eric Stephen Tuttle was taken into custody Thursday afternoon in West Virginia. No other details were immediately released.

They say a family in Seligman had allowed Tuttle to stay on their property, but recently asked him to leave for an undisclosed reason.

Authorities say Tuttle allegedly assaulted a 54-year-old woman inside a locked vehicle Wednesday afternoon. When her parents tried to rescue her, Tuttle allegedly assaulted her 77-year-old father with a shovel.

Tuttle then allegedly bound the woman, her father and her 77-year-old mother with duct tape inside a travel trailer and stole the family's truck.

Authorities say Tuttle also is wanted in Pennsylvania for a parole violation.
