OK man arrested in northern Arizona drug case
HOLBROOK, Ariz. -- Authorities say an Oklahoma man is in custody in northern Arizona in a drug case.
Navajo County Sheriff's officials say 69-year-old Jon Brion Harper of Oklahoma City is being held on suspicion of transportation of marijuana and possession of a dangerous drug.
He remains in the Navajo County Jail on $100,000 bond.
Sheriff's officials say Harper was arrested after a Nov. 1 traffic stop on Interstate 40 near Holbrook.
A task force seized about 16 pounds of high-grade marijuana and 8 grams of crystal methamphetamine.
Authorities say the marijuana had an estimated street value of $66,000 and the meth about $800.
Jail officials didn't immediately respond to a call Tuesday about whether Harper has an attorney yet for his case.
