PHOENIX — Phoenix police say a 32-year-old man has been arrested after he allegedly shot and killed his girlfriend and wounded her sister.

Police spokesman Sgt. Steve Martos says the women were visiting the man at a south Phoenix home early Saturday when an argument broke out. He says the man got a gun and shot both women.

The 41-year-old girlfriend died at the scene and her 43-year-old sister is hospitalized in stable condition.

Martos says the man was arrested after being questioned but his name and the charges were not yet available.

    How about maybe the only thing illegal here is that it is indeed illegal to shoot people. As my late grandfather said: 'The only exersize some peolple get, is running people down and jumping to conclusions'.
